​Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem is the CEO of the Beacon Development, and former manager of the Coastal and Marine Resources Core Laboratory, KAUST, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al-Suwailem is a Member of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society, USA. He served as the manager in the Marine Studies Section, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia for 7 years. Prior to that he was the Chairman in Aquatic Resources Department, King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia for 8 years. He was the Dean of Student Affairs, King Faisal University for 3 years. In 1991, he got his PhD degree in Oceanography, Specialization in Marine Ecology, Southampton University, UK.​
