Prof. Suggett is a marine biologist with research interests in photo physiology, and productivity of aquatic primary producers, ranging from microalgae to corals. Prior to joining UTS as an ARC Future Fellow, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and then lecturer in Marine Biogeochemistry, at the University of Essex, UK.
At UTS he is a core member of The Climate Change Cluster (C3) where his research focuses on improving marine primary productivity estimates using advanced active fluorometry (bio-optical) approaches.
