Research Interests

My areas of expertise are environmental microbiology and molecular biology. Particular areas of competence include the microbial analysis with high throughput, Next generation pyrosequencing/Ion torrent sequencing, Flow cytometry; Antibiotic resistance genes abundances and transfer in the environment; Mutagenicity/Genotoxicity testing using Ames Salmonella test/bacteriophage lambda; molecular methods for detection of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), phylogenetic analysis, and microbial biofilms.
