Research Interests

​The effects of human activities on the biodiversity and functioning of the Red Sea ecosystem, Integrated quality assessment of the Red Sea based on environmental and biological descriptors at different organizational levels. Latitudinal and cross-shelf biodiversity patterns in the Red Sea, Molecular and morphology-based approaches studying invertebrate assemblages in Red Sea sediments: moving towards molecular-based environmental impact assessment studies, Assessing cryptic biodiversity patterns in coral reefs using Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structures (ARMS), Benthic-pelagic coupling and eutrophication in the Red Sea Impacts of plastic debris in the Red Sea.
