Research Interests

Benjamin has researched biogeochemistry and plankton biodiversity of the Red Sea since 2010. He is working with Prof. Burt Jones advancing his work on macronutrients fluxes of pelagic and coral reef food webs in relation to ecohydrographic drivers including mesoscale eddies and land-based sources. His current research on nutrient cycling and primary productivity in the Red Sea involves collaboration with the Doug Capone Lab at the University of Southern California.
