Research Interests

I am a marine zoologist by training. During my PhD, I became interested in investigating coral reefs on the holobiont level, i.e. taking into account the dynamic multicompartmental meta-organism that is comprised by the coral animal, symbiotic algae, and other microbes. For my postdoc, I will delve deeper into functional microbiology to disentangle coral holobiont responses under global environmental change.
