Cristina Andres-Barrao, Ph.D.

Alumni and Former Staff

Postdoctoral Fellow

Research Interests

Dr. Cristian Andres-Barrao is deeply curious about extremophile microorganisms and spent most part of her career studying the physiology of acidophilic bacteria and plant-growth-promoting bacteria occurring in extreme environments. Her current research interest focuses on the characterization of ultramicrobacteria (UMB) from the Red Sea in terms of morphology and diversity in terms of taxonomy and function.
