Title: If you were a coral, you'd want to be a Red Sea One

Through the point of view of a cold-water coral scientist, Dr. Chimienti will give an overview about the status of mesophotic and deep-sea coral habitats in the Mediterranean and its surroundings. A focus will be made on arborescent corals, such as gorgonians and black corals, able to form the so-called coral forests. What is happening at temperate latitudes, compared to recent findings in the Red Sea, can shed some light on the possible future of coral habitats below diving depths, still scantily explored but yet in critical danger.
