The Red Sea Research Center (RSRC) is excited to invite you to celebrate this year’s World Ocean Day on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. On this day, people around our blue planet celebrate and honor our one shared ocean that connects us all. According to UN SDG 14 – Life Below Water, conserving and sustainably using our oceans, seas, and marine resources is imperative in our path towards sustainable development.
All members of the KAUST community are welcome to join and experience the various research activities performed by our center.
It would be our great pleasure to host you during this event, which will take place at Building 2, level 2, seaside, on Wednesday, June 8, between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. No prior registration is required.
Prepare to dive with us into the wonders of the Red Sea, its many different ecosystems, and how we can protect them! Enjoy the underwater VR experience, learn about the whale sharks, coral reefs, brine pools, marine pollution, ocean sounds in a human world, and many more.
We hope that you will take this opportunity to visit us, learn about the living laboratory in our backyard and be inspired to become an ocean steward.
