In Reef Genomics' latest publication by our Saudi Ph.D. student Ghaida Hadaidi and colleagues investigate bacterial community dynamics in bleached and healthy corals of the coral Porites lobata from the Arabian Peninsula. Strikingly, while mucus communities showed clear regional differences, the communities remained stable regardless of the health state of the host.
