Ecological Genomics course paper out now

31 July, 2017

This year the students of the MarS330 Ecological Genomics course in Kaust have been working extra hard. Their efforts have now been rewarded as the joined student paper has now been accepted in Ecology and Evolution. In a 10 day experiment, the students were able to show that iron enrichment reduces nitrogen fixation in Red Sea coral holobionts. Thereby, these results challenge previous observations and highlight once more the unique environment of the Red Sea.
