Research Interests

I am interested in how human activities affect the ecological functioning of marine ecosystems. At KAUST, I am studying the effects of offshore aquaculture on the water quality of the Red Sea, particularly how inputs of organic matter from aquaculture facilities might impact oxygen concentrations in the Red Sea.
