Research Interests

​Colleen Campbell graduated from St. Cloud State University in Geography with minors in GIS and Anthropology. Her Master’s was obtained from the University of Southern California in Geographic Information Science and Technology. Her project looked at drivers (terrain, walking speed, weather, violence, and nearby resources) that influence migration patterns in refugees. Colleen is interested in movement and the way it influences the distribution and behavior of species, as well as looking at problems with a holistic outlook. Her current Ph.D. research is focused on creating Marine Protected Areas for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
