Research Interests

Lena is broadly interested in the impacts of anthropogenic environmental change on benthic ecology and coral reef ecosystems. With a combination of herbarium and fresh samples, she uses articulated coralline algae as a model to observe the effects of changing ocean conditions on the ecophysiology of marine calcifiers through time.
