Research Interests

Study of the microbial communities and their roles in the environment and human health. It has been reported that mangroves and their associated microbes including bacteria and fungi play an essential role in maintaining the ecosystem and mitigating climate change and pollution. My research is focusing on the beneficial microbial communities and their metabolic potentials specifically for plastic and micro-plastic degradation.
