Research Interests

Victoria is interested in thermal tolerance, adaptation, and acclimation in corals under environmental changes. Currently, this research focuses on the Red Sea coral Acropora hemprichii. She hopes to understand how this coral may pass on thermal tolerance to its offspring, and if this can be applied to other corals around the world to increase thermal tolerance in the face of global warming and rising sea temperatures.
